Let’s go pottering in Kyoto!

Pottering is “taking a leisurely stroll on a bicycle without trying too hard. It’s a type of cycling that is more easy-going and relaxed. This bicycle activity is recommended for people who want to go places by bicycle but are not confident in their stamina and don’t wants to do anything too hard… (that’s me!).
There are bike paths scattered throughout Kyoto. The recommended course is a leisurely 7 km course along the Katsura River to Arashiyama. And 5km course runs along the Kamo River, one of the most famous rivers in Kyoto. You may take a break to eat a rice ball on the way, stop at a public bathhouse or cafe, take a nap, or read a book.
